We hope you enjoyed our Community Family Fun Day - Sunday 29th June 2014 - Prospect Park, Reading
Every year in June, the Lions Club of Reading hosts a Community Fun Day in Prospect Park. It is an opportunity for the Lions Club of Reading to raise funds for local community projects. It is also a family fun afternoon with arena events and other attractions.

This year Simply the Best Events provided much of the entertainment. In addition the following attractions were also there:
-
Mason's Fun Fair including refreshment van / Maurice's Ice Cream van / Castle Vets / Donkeys / Military Band / Beer Tent / Punch & Judy / Various refreshment vans
-
Free diabetes checks. A very big thank you to Manichem for providing this free service on the day.
We linked our Fun Day with our first ever Dad's & Lad's charity fun walk / run. DAD'S & LAD'S CHARITY FUN WALK.
This took place in the morning with the aim of raising money to enable us to hold another free prostate cancer test event. With over 200 participants including many ladies wearing moustaches, it was a great success.
A big thank you to Berkshire Jackfm and to Gowrings Ford sponsoring the event. Barnes Fitness organised the fun walk / run on the day and we were delighted that Sir John Madejski formally started the event and joined in too. See gallery for more photos.
