Members of the Lions Clubs of Reading and Windsor, together with valued supporters and helpers, were pleased to have been instrumental in organising a very special Black Tie Gala Dinner in aid of the key welfare organisations which help to support our Servicemen and women in meeting the challenges of current operations.

The proceeds of the Black Tie Dinner were distributed to the following organisations: Help for Heroes, Combat Stress, and The Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund.

Guests were served with champagne and canapes on arrival and then treated to a superb 5 course dinner accompanied by fine wine and port. The evening was accompanied by a musical cabaret and followed by a very impressive tombola and auction.

A very big thank you to everyone who contributed to making this such a successful event. With your help we managed to raise 27,000 which is incredible. This money will now help make a difference.

A cheque presentation event was held on the 25th February 2011 at the Coppid Beach Hotel, hosted by John Nike OBE. Read more......

The event was such a success that we are planning another for November 2012.
